Present your research poster at the Black Voices in Coaching Research Conference
Submissions are invited on topics exclusively related to coaching, psychology of coaching, coaching psychology and related coaching specialisms. Posters that have previously been presented elsewhere are welcomed.
This event aims to showcase excellence in emerging research within the coaching ecosystem, and foster opportunities to network with coaching practitioners, and researchers at different stages of their academic journey.

Guidance
- PhD, Postdoctoral and Early-Career researchers are invited to submit poster proposals of recent research results, research activities in progress, and initiatives that are enhancing coaching research which is of interest to Black Coachers and aligned with the conference vision and mission.
- Selected posters will be confirmed by 1st March 2024.
- Selected posters will attractively display innovative coaching research initiatives aimed at inspiring dialogue between academic and non-academic delegates alike.
- Posters will be displayed at the in-person Poster Session on Day 1 of the conference, where researcher(s) stand by their poster and speak with delegates of the conference.
- One researcher per poster team will be invited to present a 3-minute presentation as part of the Poster Session.
- Required poster size is A0 (1189 x 841 mm or 118.9 x 84.1 cm, which is 46.81 x 33.11 inches), in Landscape. Previously presented posters must be presented in A0.
- Complete the Poster Session Interest Form to be considered for the Poster Session.
- The form is intentionally formatted to enable submitters to provide as much or as little information as recommended by their university.

FAQ's
Must researchers be nominated by their faculty or university to be able to submit a poster proposal?
A No, although to be eligible to take part in this call for posters, researchers must be currently enrolled in a PhD or Postdoctoral programme. We recommend that you consult with your academic advisor/supervisor about your submission and obtain their consent if required.
In exceptional circumstances we welcome researchers whose initiatives are aligned with the theme of the Black Voices in Coaching Research Conference
How soon after submission will decisions on the posters selected be announced?
A All submissions will be notified by email by the 1st March 2024.
Are all poster authors required to be registered for the conference to attend the Poster Session?
A No, although as an international conference we want to encourage global researchers to participate.
Can posters be in the mother tongue of the researchers?
A No, we request that all posters be written in English. It's possible to provide links to research papers in other languages.
I'm an international researchers, how can I get the poster transported ahead of the start of conference?
A All selected posters must be submitted in a digital format (pdf) and will be printed on-site and set-up for the poster session. Posters will be gifted to the researchers at the end of the conference.
Can notes be used for the poster presentations?
A Presenters may choose to present in any way that they're comfortable. Don't forget its 3-minutes and you're the expert the delegates want to hear speak.
Can poster presenters use other visual aids, such as a physical item or a costume?
A We would recommend limiting the use of any items that will distract from the message, and we understand some topics may be enhanced through the use of visual aids.
Can music, sound effects, or video clips be included in the poster presentation?
A No, not unless there is a valid rationale for its inclusion. You may not include any items that are copyright-protected.
Can poster presentations be given in an alternate format, such as a poem or song?
A The primary form of communication must be spoken or interpreted (i.e. sign language with an interpreter) prose. You're welcome to include relevant material.
Can friends and family be invited to the poster session?
A No, the conference is a ticketed event, only registered delegates will be able to attend the poster session. Its anticipated that a recording will be made of the Poster Session and the Poster Presentations, which will be distributed to all delegates.
I've just found out about the call for posters and submissions are closed. Can I still apply?
A Late submissions are advised to email the conference organisers.
